Ginger Simple Syrup



1 cup sugar

1 cup water

1 large ginger root

Place water and sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat, dissolve sugar, stirring frequently. Once the sugar is fully dissolved, remove from heat and place 10 slices of ginger (this doesn’t have to be exact) to steep for about 30 minutes.


Add a drizzle of this to iced or hot tea or your favorite cocktail...anywhere you’d use simple syrup.

For my favorite No-jito, an alcohol-free version of a mojito, muddle mint in the bottom of a glass, add ice, 1 T. ginger simple syrup, 1 tsp lime juice and club soda. Refreshing!!
